Stunning Black Tie Arizona Wedding | Sydney + Dylan

Sydney + Dylan’s black tie Arizona wedding was definitely one for the books. Not only was it at a gorgeous wedding venue in Lake Havasu, Arizona, a beloved vacation spot for the two, but it was one of my favorite weddings in my portfolio as I’ve worked with Sydney many times over the years!

Sydney is a wedding florist and an absolute delight to work with both on other people’s weddings and her own (Dylan was wonderful, too!). When they got engaged, Sydney asked me to be her wedding planner for their black tie Arizona wedding and I was absolutely over the moon thrilled. It is such an honor for other wedding vendors to hire you because it speaks volumes about how they feel you are worth it and good at your job.

Even though they are both from Orange County, California, Sydney + Dylan love vacationing in Havasu. They also eventually want to move there, so having their destination wedding in Arizona just made sense. The stunning views from Havasu Springs Resort made their wedding location choice make sense, too. What a beautiful venue! It was the perfect place for this elegant and elevated, yet casual and fun, wedding day.

Emotions were high on their big day, and I carried around a tissue box for Sydney as she couldn’t help but cry happy tears every step of the way. I was sure she was going to need the tissues during the ceremony, but it was Dylan who couldn’t keep it together! He sobbed so much that he couldn’t get his vows out and had to ask to start over. It was so sweet!

My favorite part of the whole event was getting to spend time with Sydney and Dylan and the other venues before the reception began. It was just such a good fun environment to be in and being able to get to know everyone on a deeper level was the best. There’s nothing better than working with great people you get along with who are amazing at their jobs.

This black tie Arizona wedding was seriously flawless. Everything went so perfectly, and it was truly the best night ever. I loved getting to sprinkle some of our love on Sydney + Dylan’s big day!
